This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and skilled engineer to join our specialist fixed development team in TalkTalk TV. The team focus on building and improving the integrated TalkTalk experience our TV set-top-box offering. The role will provide the opportunity to be involved in the architecture and implementation of key platform features, while working closely with the product owners to plan and build a great experience for our customers.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the delivery of a high quality client-facing html5 web-application to TalkTalk TV customers
- Work to incrementally improve performance, resilience and effectiveness of the application, working closely with YouView
- Horizontally scale our testing needs across hundreds of distributed devices
- Identify and exploit opportunities presented by constant improvements
- Strategically analyse the risks, benefits, and opportunities of various solutions as needed
- Maintain and sunset the existing Flash based client applications
